Whole town will be in the Sake Festival in Jojima.
What’s the event?
26th Jojima Sake Festival & Brewery Hopping
That is the celebration of new sake just brewed.
You can taste many different kinds of sake from 8 sake breweries at Jojima chomin park.
Also you can visit sake breweries, each brewery has different atmosphere, offers different foods.
When will be that happen?
2020 Feb 15th Sat. & 16th Sun 9:30~16:00
Free Shuttle bus 9:00~17:00
Where is it?
Jojima area, Kurume city, Fukuoka Prefecture.
How to get there?
Get to Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line Mizuma station.
Express and Limited express stops at Mizuma St. on the Sake Festival days.
That means you can take any express, limited express or local train all stops at Mizuma those Sake fes days.
You can walk to Mizuma satellite venue and Morino-kura brewery.
Also you can take free shuttle bus to main venue or other brewery.
or
JR Kagoshima Main Line Araki station, and take free shuttle bus.
(Shinkansen line doesn’t stop at Araki station.)
or
Park your vehicle at parking lot.
(Do you know if you’ll be a driver, you are not able to drink alcohol even a sip in Japan)
How to take shuttle bus?
It is free, so just show up at bus stop and take it. Shuttle bus running about every 20 minutes from 9:00 to 17:00.
What happening at main venue ?
Jojima Sake Tasting ; 39 varieties of sake from 8 breweries‼
Tickets sell at ticket counters on the day
¥700 (incl. 12 tickets & a sake cup)
Masu ¥300 (A wooden cup use as a tray to get saved overflow)
1-3 tickets per cup, depending on the grade of sake.
A : 1 ticket / B : 2 tickets / C : 3 tickets
Did you notice? C class is the best quality 😉
Don’t ask me why, sometime things are opposite in Japan.
Kaku-uchi ; there are satanding sake bar.
Fees vary
If you don’t want to make line at ticket counter, that is a option.
Stage performance
Jojima Ryujin Dram, Chikugo Sake folk song etc.
Food stalls
Miso soup bowl, Yakitori, Karaage, sweets…. you cannot try every thing!
